Cameron Diaz To Launch Cinemas

Hollywood star Cameron Diaz will visit Melbourne to launch the new Hoyts cinema complex at the revamped Melbourne Central on September 20.Diaz is touring with Australian Toni Collette to plug In Her Shoes.
The pair play sisters who have a falling out, but come together when they discover a grandmother, played by Shirley Maclaine, who they thought was dead.
The film was directed by Curtis Hanson, of LA Confidential fame.
Hoyts will host a champagne reception for Diaz and Collette before a screening of their film.
The new Hoyts complex opened yesterday. It features 11 screens, including one cinema where patrons can sit on beanbags. The old Hoyts Bourke St cinema will close in two weeks.
