Jennifer Hawkins As Ginger In Gilligan's Island

Jennifer Hawkins and Michael Caton have been tipped to become castaways and assume leading roles in the movie version of the 1960s comedy favourite Gilligan's Island. Less than three weeks after the real life Gilligan - actor Bob Denver - passed away, Adam Sandler looks set to play the Skipper's little buddy on the big screen. And Confidential hears the funnyman is chasing Hawkins to take on the role of the movie star Ginger, after she passed on his flick Click, being filmed at the moment.
Hawko's agent Sean Anderson told Confidential from New York yesterday he'd heard the speculation about the former Miss Universe's mooted part in the movie.
"But there's been no official approach yet," Anderson said.
Caton, currently strutting his stuff on Dancing With The Stars, has been earmarked to play the millionaire Thurston Howell III although his management were tight-lipped yesterday.
Originally aired from 1964 to 1967, Gilligan's Island made its name by being played to death in re-runs in the 1970s.
