Hollywood babe Kirsten Dunst has poured cold water over rumours she and Orlando Bloom had a fling on the set of director Cameron Crowe's latest movie, Elizabethtown.The 23-year-old star told reporters at the Venice Film Festival that rumours she and co-star Bloom hooked up while filming the comedy-drama last year were untrue.
"If you're alluding to whether Orlando and I got together then that's a no. No," she said when asked about off-screen romances in general.
But the Bring It On star admitted it's easy to see why actors and actresses often hook up after working together.
"There are a lot of charismatic people in this industry ... and I can understand why people on location get together," Dunst said.
In Elizabethtown, Dunst stars as a sexy air hostess who meets a suicidal sports shoe designer, played by Bloom.
It's the first time Bloom, best known for fantasy flicks Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean, has starred as an American.
The UK hottie said he was glad not to have to wield a sword for the role.
"It was really good not riding a horse and having a sword for once," he said.
In the film, the sudden death of the father of Bloom's character, and a chance meeting with Dunst's character, force him to rethink his life.
"Early on (in my career) I got swept up in this world, you know, Lord of The Rings, and all these great action-adventure movies - and I love them, but I feel part of my own character is just that geeky, goofy, kind of guy like Drew in this movie," Bloom said.
