Delta Goodrem Turns 21

Delta Goodrem celebrated her 21st birthday in style last night with crowd of family and friends at Sydney's State Theatre.Highlights were speeches from her brother Trent, father Denis, Sony BMG boss Denis Handlin and best friend from Melbourne, Lalitha Selvendra.
The lavish party was organised by mother Lea, who has guided her daughter's career.
At 10pm, guests were greeted with a video montage that featured birthday wishes from The Wiggles, Molly Meldrum, Kath and Kim and Michael Buble, who sang happy birthday.
Her father, Denis, told the audience how Delta had determination at a very young age.
"She was a fighter. It's pretty clear at a young age, she was always determined," he said.
"She always wanted to be the best in the world and she always set about it."
Brother Trent led the speeches saying he always had a close bond with his sister.
Sony BMG boss Denis Handlin said that even when sick, Goodrem was thinking of others.
He said when he first heard Goodrem he sat in the front row of a showcase in Sydney and was spellbound. "Here was an amazing talent, someone that had a rare gift that could connect with the public and I thought this girl has it - she is amazing."
Goodrem arrived in a strapless Akira Isogawa couture gown with boyfriend Brian McFadden.
Goodrem will stay in Australia for a couple of weeks before returning to America.
