She was the leggy blonde in the car with Michelle Leslie when the model's world came crashing down in a Balinese park.

And she may have been the crucial eyewitness to support Leslie's argument that a friend by the name of Mia had dropped the two tissue-wrapped pink pills into her Gucci bag.

But soon after a frightened Leslie was taken to the police cells in Denpasar, 21-year-old Nicole Lindeblad was on her way home to Sydney. She has managed to stay out of the spotlight since.

Lindeblad and Leslie were regularly teamed together by their shared agency, Chic Model Management. Almost a year ago they stood together posing nude as their bodies were daubed with paint in the name of art.

In February this year, they were hired as lingerie models by Myer for a promotion with Australian fast bowler Brett Lee.

Lindeblad's biggest moment came when she was picked to be one of the two glamorous hostesses on Channel 9 game show Temptation. Her rise up the ranks was reasonably swift considering only last year she auditioned with other hopefuls aiming to replace Megan Gale as the face of David Jones.

"I just love David Jones clothes. They are beautiful, stylish and great to wear. This would be a great job to get for any model," she was quoted as saying.

Lindeblad and her boyfriend Alan Gustav Roboth, Mia and allegedly the son of a high-powered Indonesian minister were all in the same car in Bali when anti-drug police struck.

Leslie's legal team had argued from the outset that Mia left the two pink pills in her Gucci bag in the afternoon of the dance party in GKW park.

And it was Lindeblad who was supposed to have seen the act that should have helped go some way toward proving Leslie's case.

But when it came to telling the story, Lindeblad had already left Bali, returning to Sydney.

Lindeblad wound up being flown back to Bali to give a statement to police.

But she did not attend the trial because of work commitments.

Lindeblad's flatmate yesterday said the model was unavailable, again because of work commitments.

She said Lindeblad was on assignment overseas for the next three weeks.
