They were oh so cute in their matching outfits on the red carpet at the ARIAs but The Veronicas are busy proving their appeal spreads well beyond these shores.Aussie twins Jess and Lisa Origlasso appeared live on stage yesterday at MTV's Times Square Studios in New York as special guests on the music network's Total Request Live show.
After playing the NRL grand final and rocking up for the ARIAs last month, the 20-year-old pocket rockets are back in the US touring their debut album The Secret Life of the Veronicas.
The Veronicas topped last week's Music Network most-added playlist with their second single, Everything I'm Not and their first single 4Ever continues to perform well.
Since signing a recording deal in their teens, Brisbane duo The Veronicas have been groomed for global success, with serious dollars ploughed into their debut album, released today.
Jess Origliasso, 20, formed The Veronicas with her identical twin, Lisa, when they were in their mid-teens.
They spent a year in various countries co-writing the album, The Secret Life of ..., with guns-for-hire such as Max Martin (Britney Spears) and Billy Steinberg (Madonna).
"There's definitely pressure, but we're not feeling it," Jess said on the blower from LA.
"We just make music to get messages out there and say what we want to say, and we hope kids get it. Being a teenager, everything seems so dramatic; one minute you hate someone, the next you love them. It's like a TV show."
