You may not have heard too much about this rising local pop artist but her voice will be sounding out around the world in 2006.

Darwin born Vassy, who won the Triple J Unearthed radio talent quest a couple of years ago, will be the voice of Hilton International Hotels.

Her single Wanna Fly - from the debut album My Affection - has been snapped up for all Hilton advertising worldwide. It is already gracing a Sprite ad in the US and features in the new Queen Latifah movie, Last Holiday.

The jazzy soul hip-hop gal has already impressed the hell out of some bigwigs in New York with showcase performances at the legendary Joe's Bar in East Village scoring her an international management deal.

"They were on the tables dancing, I couldn't believe it!" Vassy says.

"I'd been warned that it was a tough crowd - so this was a real surprise."

The beautiful soulstress heads back to the US this week to entertain Hilton executives and begin her campaign to hit the American airwaves.

Back home, her new single Kick My Ass is shaping up to be a massive summer hit.
