Radha Mitchell Silenced

Radha Silenced
From Sydney Confidential

Radha MitchellThe good news for Aussie actress Radha Mitchell is that her film Silent Hill debuted in the top spot on the US box office over the weekend.

The bad news is, the critics absolutely despised it.

Despite the video-game spawned horror movie taking $27.1 million in ticket sales, the flick has been described as "dumber than a bag of coffin nails" by one leading film reviewer.

Proving even the film studio knew they had produced a shocker, critics were prevented from seeing advance screenings of Silent Hill - a desperate bid to reduce the number of bad reviews before the film opened.

While the tactic may have worked, at least temporarily, the fright-ful flick is not expected to do Mitchell's career any long-term favours.
