Sandi Thom

Sandi Thom
By Cameron Adams

Sandi ThomIf you believe the hype, singer-songwriter Sandi Thom held online "concerts" for thousands in her London basement.

Despite the PR spin, Thom's DIY folk album could have been made in 1973.

It barely clocks up 30 minutes, just like the old days.

Back-to-basics single I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker is a catchy ode to being born in the wrong generation.

Lonely Girl benefits from pop production, Sunset Borderline is a strange mix of Gwen Stefani and Sandi Shaw.

Human Jukebox adds blues, but, like this whole record, it's nothing K. T. Tunstall hasn't done with more style.
