Charlotte Church looks set to keep a 16ft fence put up without planning permission to keep prying eyes away from the home she shares with Welsh rugby international Gavin Henson.

The 20-year-old singer had the giant wooden archway and boundary fences built in addition to the 10ft metal gates the couple installed just months after moving in at the end of 2005.

But she was forced to apply for retrospective planning permission after neighbours in the Llandaff area of Cardiff complained.

Council planning officials are now expected to recommend that Church is allowed to keep the fence.
