Miranda Kerr's Guilty Ex

Miranda Kerr's Guilty Ex
From The Daily Telegraph

Miranda KerrThe ex-boyfriend of Aussie glamour model Miranda Kerr was convicted by a Sydney court in relation to a corporate collapse in excess of $20 million yesterday.

Following an investigation by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, Adrian Camilleri, who dated the Portmans beauty for 18 months, was found guilty on five counts of acting as a director while disqualified.

The charges related to his management of Express Loans and Finance Pty Limited, Abe Enterprise Service P/L, J.A.P. Camilleri P/L, Rosecam P/L and Vaucam P/L on various dates from February 2003 to February 2004.

All five companies, used to purchase 16 properties in the Eastern Suburbs, were placed into liquidation after October 2004.

Camilleri, who sold himself to Kerr's family and about 60 other creditors as a finance broker, was sentenced at Sydney's Downing Centre to 200 hours community service. Sadly, angry creditors are understood to include Camilleri's own parents, who were forced to sue their son after he allegedly used their Vaucluse home as security on one of his failed investments.

Friends of Kerr have told Confidential the relationship cost the model some of her own million-dollar earnings after taking her then boyfriend's financial advice.

Camilleri was accompanied to court yesterday with a man believed to be his father. When told of the $65 court costs he was charged with paying, Camilleri turned to the man and remarked cheerily: "Cheap".
