Comedian Ellen DeGeneres won't be laughing when she sees footage of her lesbian lover Portia de Rossi in bed with another woman.Sizzling new scenes of the Australian star, romping with actress Joely Richardson in Nip/Tuck have, not surprisingly, been getting a lot of attention.
But there's one person who won't be enjoying the scenes. So far DeGeneres has not had to endure watching her lover get hot and heavy with another woman.
It is the first time the openly gay actress has ever played a lesbian role on screen, which she explains, forced her to confront her own "coming out" three years ago, when she started dating DeGeneres.
"It makes me remember all the people I had to come out to and how often I had to come out," de Rossi told TV Guide.
"I talked to Ellen about it," de Rossi said, "and I realised that I spent so many years downplaying that side of me, just to forward my career. I could pass as a heterosexual and it would have been easy to stay that way, except that I didn't feel honest as an actor because I wasn't honest in my personal life."
