It was a match made in hippie heaven, but the relationship between green dream team Isabel Lucas and Adrian Grenier appears to have been thrown out on the compost heap.The actors broke up about three weeks ago, a source told People magazine, right after the car accident Lucas was in with her Transformers 2 co-star Shia LaBeouf.
"It wasn't working out," says the source.
"Adrian saw her with Shia and that was kind of it – the crash, their hanging out. He obviously didn't appreciate it."
While management for the Australian actress had no comment on the couple's alleged split yesterday, pictures that surfaced on a US celebrity website seemed to tell the story frame and frame again - that Grenier is a single man once again.
Staying true to the playful playboy image of his small screen alter ego Vinnie Chase, the Entourage star was snapped frolicking in the Malibu surf with a mystery bikini babe on Sunday.
Between piggyback rides, water splashing and intimate banter, Grenier didn't appear to be lamenting Lucas as he had fun in the sun with his latest leading lady.
Former Home and Away star Lucas, meanwhile, remained devoted to her other passion - the environment - attending a social event in LA alone.
Hitting the red carpet in support of her eco-friendly pal Hayden Panettiere's Whaleman Foundation benefit, Lucas deflected questions about Grenier while mingling with celebs including Eva Longoria.
When asked about the car accident, Lucas said, "We're both fine and Shia's fine as well."
