An expanding waistline is a sure-fire indication of one or two things when you're a 26-year-old actress. Either you've consumed too many egg yolks or you are pregnant.And so Abbie Cornish's figure has been a catalyst for excited whispers since the actress flew home to Australia on Sunday.
Sources suspect that the starlet has come home to introduce her family to the father of her unborn child. She is, after all, looking a bit more full-figured than we remember her.
Cornish has been romantically involved with the Hollywood actor Ryan Phillippe for the past 12 months.
Phillippe, who already has two children with his megastar ex-wife Reese Witherspoon, is set to fly in to Australia this week and sources close to the actors have confirmed they are headed to the Hunter Valley in New South Wales for Christmas.
It will be the first time Phillippe has visited this country since the couple became involved.
A call to Cornish's International Casting agents yesterday failed to turn up any leads on the pregnancy rumours.
